Every league has the same argument eventually. Someone wins, everyone agrees it should mean something, and the trophy that turns up is a $40 plastic cup with a tiny football on top. It gets photographed once and then lives in a cupboard until next August.
A fantasy football belt solves that, and it is worth understanding why before you look at prices. A cup is an object you own. A belt is an object you defend. It gets worn at the draft, it goes in the group chat, and the person who lost it has to look at somebody else holding it for a year. That is the entire mechanic, and it is why leagues that switch to a belt almost never switch back.

What a fantasy football belt costs

Most leagues land somewhere between $359 and $455 — the base belt, the engraving, and usually the gold plating because it photographs better. Split across ten or twelve managers that is roughly $30 to $45 each, once, for something that lasts the life of the league. It is generally less than the league pays for a single season's buy-in.
Worth saying plainly: there is no shipping surcharge and no minimum order. The price you see is the price for the configuration you picked.
How long it takes, and the date most commissioners miss
This is where leagues get burned. A belt is not pulled off a shelf — it is machined, plated and mounted to order. The honest timeline is:
- About 2 weeks to build the belt
- 4–5 business days in DHL or FedEx Express transit, included in the price
- A few days of slack for confirming your engraving text and clearing customs
Call it roughly four weeks from placing the order to holding it. If your league crowns its champion in week 16 or 17, that means ordering in late November or the first days of December — not the week of the final, which is when most people first think about it.

Engraving: putting the league on the plate
The engraving is what turns a championship belt into your league's belt. It is cut into the nameplate before plating, so it is part of the metal rather than a sticker or an etched afterthought.
You have two sensible approaches:
- League name only. The belt is permanent, and each season's winner gets added later on a small plate. This is what most long-running leagues do, because after five or six years the belt carries a visible record of every fantasy champs run in the league's history.
- League name plus the first champion. Good if the league is new and you want the inaugural winner marked on the main plate.
Engraving is a paid option you add on the belt page itself — tick the box, type your text, and it goes onto the same order. You are not sending an email and waiting for someone to quote you.
What you are actually getting
A fantasy trophy belt is only worth ordering if it is a real belt. The specification that matters:

How to get the league to pay for it
The approach that works: raise it at the draft, not at the end of the season. Add $30 to $40 to the buy-in, tell everyone it is a one-time cost, and order the belt in the first half of the season so it is physically present at the championship. Trying to collect money in December from eight people whose teams are already eliminated is a much harder conversation.
