Questions and answers

Short answers to the questions first-time buyers ask about MS Belts. In brief: every belt is made to order in our workshop in Pakistan, shipping is free by express courier, and import duties or taxes, if your country charges them, are billed to you by the courier. Most answers link to a guide or a page with more detail. If your question is not here, write to support@msbelts.com.

Before you order

What does MS Belts make?

MS Belts makes championship belts to order in our workshop in Pakistan. The plates are cut and engraved to the design, then finished by hand. You can browse the designs or read how a belt is made.

Are the belts ready to ship?

No. Every belt is made to order, so we do not keep finished belts waiting on a shelf. See how ordering a custom belt works for what happens after you order.

Who am I buying from, and where are the belts made?

MS Belts is a brand of Qelv LLC (Wyoming, USA). Every belt is made in and shipped from our workshop in Pakistan. Read more on our about page.

Is MS Belts connected to any sports or entertainment organisation?

No. MS Belts is an independent workshop. It is not affiliated with, licensed by or endorsed by any sports or entertainment organisation.

How is the price worked out?

Prices are in US dollars and change with the options you choose. Brass plates add $100, each step up in plate thickness adds $40, and a gold plated belt costs $70 more than the same belt unplated. See what a championship belt costs.

Can I cancel an order?

Yes. An order can be cancelled free of charge within 24 hours of placing it. The refund policy has the full terms.

Materials and options

What are the plates made of?

Zinc alloy as standard, with brass as an upgrade for $100 more. In general, brass is denser, heavier and harder than zinc alloy and costs more, while zinc alloy is lighter, more affordable and takes plating well. See zinc alloy vs brass.

Is the gold real?

Yes, as a surface layer. The optional 24K gold electroplating is a thin layer of real gold on the surface of the plate, and the belt is not solid gold. See gold plating explained.

Which plate thickness should I choose?

2 mm is standard, and 4 mm, 6 mm and 8 mm are upgrades at $40 for each step. In general, thicker plates allow deeper relief and weigh more. The plate thickness guide compares them.

What is the strap made of?

Cowhide leather. The strap is about 50 to 51 inches (127 to 130 cm) long and has a snap closure. See the strap: leather and snaps.

Will the belt fit?

The strap has several snap positions, so the fit can be adjusted. Measure around the waist where the belt will sit, over clothing, and write to us before you order if you are unsure. Sizing and care and the belt sizing and fit guide show how to measure.

How much does a belt weigh?

We do not publish belt weights on this site. In general, brass is heavier than zinc alloy and thicker plates weigh more, as the zinc alloy vs brass guide explains. If weight matters for your order, ask us and we will confirm it in writing.

Custom designs

Can you make a belt to my own design?

Yes. We offer name plates, engraving, logos and fully custom designs, quoted by email. Start on the custom belt quote page and read preparing your artwork.

What does customisation cost?

Custom name plates and engraving start from $25. Fully custom designs are quoted by email, so the price is confirmed in writing for your order. See what a championship belt costs.

When does work on a custom belt start?

The production estimate for a custom design starts when you approve the design. It does not start when you first contact us, so allow time for the design stage. See planning around your event date.

Can I order several belts for a league, company or event?

Yes. Pricing and timing for several belts are quoted for your order and confirmed in writing. The wholesale and bulk orders page explains how to ask for a quote. The league belts guide covers belts for a league.

Shipping, duties and timing

How long does a belt take to arrive?

Most belts are made in 5 to 6 working days, then delivered by express courier in up to 5 working days, anywhere in the world. That is about 6 to 11 working days door to door. Customs checks can occasionally add time. These are estimates, not guarantees. See how ordering a custom belt works.

Can you guarantee delivery by a certain date?

No. The times we give are estimates, never guarantees. If you have a date to meet, read planning around your event date.

How much is shipping, and who delivers it?

Shipping is free worldwide by express courier (UPS, FedEx or DHL), with tracking. Orders are dispatched from our workshop. See the shipping policy.

Do I have to pay import duties or taxes?

Import duties or taxes, if your country charges them, are billed to you by the courier and are not included in our prices. The United States does charge them. See shipping, customs and duties.

After delivery

What if my belt arrives damaged, faulty or not as ordered?

Email support@msbelts.com with photos within 14 days of delivery. We will repair it, replace it or refund it. The refund policy has the full terms.

Can I return a belt if I change my mind?

No. Because every belt is made to order, change-of-mind returns are not accepted. The refund policy has the full terms.

How do I clean and store my belt?

As general advice, wipe the plates with a dry, soft cloth and keep the leather dry and away from heat. Plating is a surface layer that can wear with abrasion, so keep abrasive polish away from it. See sizing and care and the care, cleaning and storage guide.

How do I contact you?
