A club, gym or tournament belt is a custom belt with your own name, logo and divisions on it. Before you ask for a quote, decide three things: how many belts you need, what changes from belt to belt, and the date you need them in hand. MS Belts makes every belt to order in our workshop. Which set-up fits you?

Three words used throughout: the plates are the metal parts of the belt, the strap is the leather part, and a division is a group of competitors, for example by weight, age or skill level.
Can the belt take hard use?
A belt is normally held up and worn after a contest, not during one. Even so, a club belt that travels in kit bags and passes between holders has a harder life than a belt on a shelf.
We have no published figures for hard use, so we will not promise a number of years. What is generally true of the materials:
- Optional 24K gold plating is a thin layer of real gold on the surface of the plate. Like any plating, it can wear with abrasion, which means rubbing and scratching.
- Leather needs to be kept dry and away from heat.
- Zinc alloy is the standard plate metal. An alloy is a mix of metals. Brass, the upgrade, is denser, heavier and harder.
- Thicker plates weigh more, which matters for younger or smaller winners.
Tell us how the belt will be used when you ask for a quote. If you are unsure about an option, such as the metal, the thickness or the plating, say so in your message.
How do matching sets for divisions work?
The simplest set is one design repeated, with one detail changed on each belt, such as the division name. Name plates and engraving are available from $25 and are quoted by email. A name plate is a small metal plate that carries a name or a short line of text. Engraving means cutting lettering into the metal.

What size do we order if we do not know who will win?
The strap is cowhide leather, about 50 to 51 inches (127 to 130 cm) long. It closes with snaps, which are push-together metal fasteners, and has several snap positions. One belt can be adjusted between wearers.
We do not publish a waist range. For youth divisions, or for very small or very large waists, send us the measurements you need to cover. We confirm in writing whether the standard strap will fit and what else is possible for your order. See belt sizing and fit.
Can we use our own name and logo?
Yes. Logos and fully custom designs are available. Send artwork your club owns or has permission to use. MS Belts is an independent workshop. It is not affiliated with, licensed by or endorsed by any sports or entertainment organisation.

How early should we order for an event date?
Most belts are made in about 5 to 6 working days. Delivery then takes up to 5 working days by courier, worldwide. Allow about 6 to 11 working days door to door. Customs checks can occasionally add time. These are estimates, never guarantees.
For a custom design, the clock starts when the design is approved. Order at least 3 weeks ahead to allow for design approval and customs. If your date is close, tell us before you order so the timing can be confirmed in writing. See planning back from your event date.
Can we order the same belt again next season?
Keep a copy of the approved design and your order details, and send them when you want the same belt again. We confirm in writing what can be matched. Every belt is made to order, so allow the usual production time for a repeat belt too.
What does it cost, and who pays import charges?
Prices are in US dollars. On a listed design, brass adds $100 and each thickness step above the standard 2 mm (to 4 mm, 6 mm or 8 mm) adds $40. The price difference between gold plated and unplated is $70. So a brass belt with a 4 mm plate is $140 above the listed price.
Shipping is free worldwide by express courier (UPS, FedEx or DHL), with tracking. Import duties or taxes, if your country charges them, are billed to you by the courier and are not included in our prices. The United States does charge them.
What if something is wrong?
Because every belt is made to order, change-of-mind returns are not accepted. An order can be cancelled free of charge within 24 hours of placing it.
If a belt arrives damaged, faulty or not as ordered, email support@msbelts.com with photos within 14 days of delivery. MS Belts will repair it, replace it or refund it.
