The TNA Legends Championship — later renamed the Global Championship and then the Television Championship — was introduced in 2008 as a title honouring wrestling's legends. Booker T was its inaugural champion, lending immediate credibility. Kevin Nash, AJ Styles, and Rob Terry also held the title during its run, making it a unique piece of TNA's mid-card championship history.
